What is Limestone?
Limestone is a sedimentary rock consisting largely of Calcium Carbonate, usually in the form of the mineral calcite.
Qualities
It is generally white to cream in colour although it can be stained yellow or brown by iron oxides or rendered bluish to black.
Maintenance

Limestone is very suitable for your bathroom, fireplaces, flooring and wall cladding. Being more porous than granite, if you are planning to have a limestone worktop in your kitchen, you will need to take greater care. All spillages must be cleaned immediately.
