03. Roni & Ray N in Southampton

Roni & Ray were looking to really modernise their kitchen and had already decided on a combination of the Mereway Cucina Colore Pergamon for the wall units and Grey/Brown Urbano for the base units when they contacted us.  To compliment this striking combination of units they wanted to use a Corian worktop in the colour bone.

After completing the installation and decoration they sent us these pictures of their new kitchen and the following comments:

"Martin,

I would also like to add a few words of thanks for the help you have given us from the beginning of this project right thru to its completion. I hope that they will serve to allay any fears that people may have dealing with you over the internet. Briefly, we decided on the kitchen range we wanted (Mereway Cucina Colore) after a visit to John Lewis. We paid for a JL planning visit and they provided a plan and an estimate that was way over what we could afford. I searched online for other Mereway suppliers and discovered Kitchen Finesse, somewhere up in the Highlands of Scotland. We exchanged a couple of emails and Martin suggested I sent him the plans and he would see what he could do. He came back with a substantially lower price for the same range and made some inspired design suggestions which we refined along the way over around a dozen phone calls. He provided delivery dates which were met and in some cases bettered. The Mereway units were all delivered in perfect condition, 3 units were missing and I was told to expect this before delivery arrived. Their replacements turned up 3 days later.

We hit a few problems, I had measured incorrectly in the utility room and Martin came up with some workaround suggestions and indeed, provided the materials at cost. These units arrived damaged (via City Link, not Mereway direct) and it took 2 deliveries to get them intact. All this was initiated by Kitchen Finesse promptly and arrived within 3 days. We all know problems will occur on a project of this size, its how they are overcome that is the real test of a company's ethos and efficiency.

Now its finished, we are very happy with the design and the quality of the units, especially the Corian worksurfaces, which we would not originally have been able to afford. Also Kitchen Finesse provided the matching Siemens appliances at the very best price I could find anywhere online and they also arrived exactly when they were planned to.
