Smeg Linea-elite and Maxi cavity ovens Dec 11, 2009

Smeg introduce new concepts for 2010

Linea, Linea-elite and Maxi cavity ovens

Linea &Linea-elite

The average oven capacity for built in single ovens across Europe has historically been between 49ltrs and 54ltrs from all of the major manufacturers for several years now. Due to the increasing demand for more space and new technologies now available, innovative Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg, have increased the size of their oven cavities by 18-35% in all ranges.

The new Smeg Linea, Linea-elite and Maxi cavity ovens now boast 60 & 68ltr oven cavity capacities allowing much more flexibility in terms of cooking options, as well as new chic touch controls in the Linea-elite range. The Smeg Linea range from 2009 still looks the same but now features the increased 60 & 68ltr oven cavities.

Design:

The Smeg Linea-elite ovens are frameless in design and feature a completely flush facia due to the absence of control knobs. Each colour version features a unique handle design.

With a simple touch of the white LED display panel the desired function is quick to respond and easy to use. The intuitive digital display shows the time, temperature, cooking duration and the function selected.

Smart Chef Program:

This programme provides 10 convenient pre-set recipes with suggested cook times, designed to guarantee easy and simple cooking.

Energy Efficiency:

Linea-elite Maxi plus ovens exceed the ‘A’ energy rating, showing how economical these ovens are. They also feature an ECO function where the energy consumption is kept below 1.8kw, ideal for cooking small amounts of food. These ovens are up to 25% more efficient in energy consumption in comparison to other large cavity ovens.

Colour Options:

Multifunction are available in a choice of 3 finishes: stainless steel, graphite and silver glass, whilst Pyrolitic ovens are available in stainless steel and graphite. The glass door on the graphite model has a silky smooth effect that is soft to the touch.

The Linea-elite Pyrolitic oven models are:

Stainless steel: SCP115X – 68ltr

Graphite: SCP115A – 68ltr

The Linea-elite Multifunction oven models available are:

Stainless steel: SC115X – 68ltr

Graphite: SC115A – 68ltr

Silver Glass: SC115 – 68ltr

Maxi oven cavities

Maxi cavity ovens allow maximum usable space within the interior of the cavity whilst still being able to fit into a standard housing.

Maxi Plus Cavity:

All Linea, Linea-elite and the premium level models in the Classic and Evolution ranges will have the Maxi Plus cavity as standard. At a very capacious 68ltrs, the Maxi Plus is over the size of 65ltrs for a medium oven therefore moving them into the large oven category whereby each oven is on average 35% larger that its previous version.

The increased size of these ovens allows for an additional shelf to be inserted, allowing 5 cooking positions and all premium level ovens have a set of telescopic shelves as standard.

Maxi Cavity:

The remaining entry and mid level models in the Linea, Classic and Cucina ranges all benefit from a substantial increase in cavity size of 18% to a generous 60ltrs.
